 Angry

Currently I'm using a 4.0mbps ( Streamyx ). Before, I was using an average 0.512kbps, I was quite angry to know the 4.0mbps was really lame and slow. I'd figured out about the new promotion on 4.0mbps , streamyx actually using us (Streamyx 4.0mbps user's ) as trial and to check on error.
The thing is, the 4.0mbps doesnt impress me at all, the speed is the same as 0.512kbps ( on other internet company ). The thing is, the more and more i surf the net, the slower and slower it get's and i'd think of many conclusion on it, so, I end up thinking, the Streamyx are cheating our money!. You might want to say that, some site allow low connection rate, eg Forum, Free Site etc. , I know about it, yes, on the other hand, YouTube and Microsoft allow high connection rate, but when I'd download something, the highest speed I've ever seen was 534kbps , it never reach a mbps !! even 1 !!. There are many people out there using Streamyx are complaining about connection speed, ( not in this forum tho ).
Either way, tell us the exact speed, or lower the price.

Streamyx got problem since 25 August 2007 with slow loading especially overseas website. Don't know what happen. Need to refer their announcement.

Angry yeah, why dont maxis make one, surely i'll pick maxis. TMnet are cheating our money, you know, before we updated to 4.0mbps, my dad call them to updated it, the streamyx people said they will do it after a week, 1 week has past, my father was furius, he called those streamyx service, and scold them and said "You said it will be done in 1 week!!, you better do it or I'll cancel the 4.0mpbs!!" (not exactly the same, but near).
The person who was incharge of service, was a man, kind of &^%$ ( i'll be punching him, he talks like Sh%t). Then, after scolded, they came and updated our modem/internet.

Tmnet has launched a promotion for 1mbps
they give free
-Computer(last month) -> really cheap, around rm80 can get, it's really unused, really slow, 2 month used sure broke.
-MP3 player -> holy Sh%t, it's really cheap , if paying rm77 for a month, mp3 player are like nothing, see the design, i can conclude the price is rm50 only!!!

By the way, this site isnt actually streamyx actual web* is it? i thought it was, but i notice the letter 'R' isnt in steamyx.
There is no complain section in actual site, if there is, i would surely say rude thing's to them.

Streamyx is complaining of bandwidth traffic congestion.

They put the blame on p2p, causing the country #1 broadband provider to fail to deliver as promised.
As it is now, streamyx is already buying additional bandwidth from overseas provider to cover the demand.

No matter what application the customer want to use, TMnet should always able to deliver their product at least a considerable bandwith that they have promise to their customer; or else why should there a different packages offered. P2P is a sharing bandwith program not to burden to a single connection.

P2P user should limit the maximun speed allowed to be used by P2P program so as it will not slow the users  self browsing speed. So if the user paid for 512k, TMnet should deliver 512k its just as simple as that. What the user did with the P2P program is another issue, the point is what the customer pay, they should get the same.  Grin

I have been testing thise few days on p2p programs. What I noticed that if a P2P on windows is much more slower or totally halted compared to linux p2p on linux.
